London State of Mind - Afternoon Tea at Harrods (Nov 30, 2019)

Trip to London or UK is not complete until you are able to sit down for an afternoon tea. We had made two teatime reservations prior to arriving at London, one at Harrods and one at Fortnum and Mason. The Fortnum and Mason reservation was foiled due to attack in London on the day we have the reservation but we still have our reservation at Harrods

We made it to Harrods after completing the Houses of Parliament Tour in the morning, walking through Trafalgar Square for a mid-day snack, and following the rest of the tourists along the walk to Buckhingham Palace. We walked along the south side of Hyde Park where the high end hotels are located and veered left on Knightsbridge Station to Harrods. The crowd was dense. We did some souvenir shopping, purchased some macarons to take home, and sat down to enjoy our teatime at the Harrods Tea Rooms.

The Egyptian themed decor was designed by William Mitchell who worked for Egyptian tycoon Mohammed Al-Fayed, the father of Dodi Al-Fayed, princess Diana's lover.
