Maui No Ka Oi - Some of our most memorable super casual eateries in Maui

It's worth visiting Maui multiple times just for the food. During our 7 day stay we managed to sample a few great places but in fact, we were no where close from truly sampling all the places we would like to try.

Below are some of our favorite super casual places we ate at.

Top of the list (at least according to the writer of this post) - Kuau Store in Paia.

This tiny store on the way to the Road to Hana was the first stop for us. It served some of the freshest poke we had on the island. It also had great sandwiches, gourmet coffee, and pastries that kick started the Road to Hana for us.

Close to the "Jaws" or Pe'ahi Surf Break (MM 13/14), which has recorded some of the biggest waves surfed in the world, the surfing culture is strong in the town of Paia

Nothing like fresh poke for breakfast

Another one of our favorites - Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice. This was our daily must stop including the departure day.

Enough said

The Paia Store on Hana Highway

Food truck in Kihei - South Maui Fish Company

This food truck establishment located in Kihei (5 minute drive from our Air B&B) was featured in Guy Fieri's Food Network Show Diners, Drive-In, and Dives. The No BS attitude of the owners served up in your face poke and fish tacos that we enjoyed on Ulua Beach Kihei.

Food truck in Kahului - Thai Mee Up

Located at the food truck park by Costco, this was one of the few places on the island that we ate more than once. This was our going home airplane dinner as well as Grandma's favorite.
