Kyoto to Osaka (December 26, 2019)

Kyoto remains one of our favorite spots on this trip. We therefore decided to maximize our time in Kyoto. Our plan today was to take our breakfast slowly and head to the Kyoto Station to drop off our bags at the locker. After drop off we'll explore the Golden Temple (Kinkaku-ji) and back to explore the incredible large Kyoto Station itself. Since we will not be taking the Shinkansen on this leg we can basically hop on the train at our own convenience.

While the kids were getting ready, Joanne and I explored the town more and visited the Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

After the sight seeing, we took the bus and reversed back to the Kyoto Station. The Station was immense place with several department stores and tons of places to eat. We'll spend the next 2-3 hours exploring the Station before boarding the 30 minute train ride to Osaka to catch dinner at Osaka.

After getting our lunch at the food court, we headed to the platform area to get ready to board the train. However, we will not board the train until we have had our matcha fix at the Nakamura Tokichi store.

We have two objectives at Dotombori, one is to have the Okonomiyaki and the other one is to have the Takoyaki. We started out night at the long line for the Okonomiyaki first.
